decorating, sewing, wrapping (the cookbook is a “choose-it-yourself” present – can’t wait to read it!) plus muffins and tea in the “best cups” with my mum …
here is a how-to for my wayward stars …
draw an uneven five-pointed star on cardboard (approx 19cms/7inches tip to tip) and cut out your template (the wonkier the better …)
trace around and cut out your fabrics (no seam allowance needed!)
(i have used two liberty prints: ros and phoebe)
pin the stars to white quilt batting and machine around their edges
cut out each star with pinking shears, leaving a small soft margin of white batting
sew the star tipsĀ to a length of selvedge or strip of fabric 112cms/44ins long, leaving approx 25cms/10ins between each star
attach to each side of your doorway with blu tack
very quick, very easy: enjoy!
wishing you much happiness in the week ahead
love, Barbara x

I enjoyed this gorgeous post today……love the colours of your pretty decorations. That book is on my list too, and the little tags are adorable. Your cushion looks wonderful….how hard the embroidered writing is to do!! Thank you for your sweet comment, Barbara. Wishing you and your family a very Happy Christmas.
